We hope
everyone had a great time!
November 05, 2006-Thanks
to those of you, who were able to share time with us at Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells!
Feel free to use the forums and other areas at
http://madisonscouts.org, while we make plans to
migrate key parts here over to the Madison Scouts main site. You can
still reach all existing areas using the navigation bar above and the members photo albums here by clicking on
http://photo.fastlanecpu.com,
though the store is now closed. You can order our remaining product from
the Madison Scouts Online Emporium with all proceeds going to the
Madison Scouts.
MYNWA,
Randy, Scott & Scott
PROJECT SITE NOTICE: We have
already begun planning the migration of parts from this site over to the
Madison Scouts website. No worries - this process will take some time,
so feel free to continue using this area in the meantime. We will try to
transfer all of the photos from the members albums area to the "Special
2006 MSARP" folder created in the media area on their site. Scott
will manually transfer images from individual members folders into 6
specific folders related to the 5 weekends and banquet events. We will
add folder owners names to those images for proper credit. Empty folders
have been removed from here, which will make the transfer easier.
Please do not add any new photos to this site, because new additions
will not not make the move. If you are interested in downloading a full
copy of all photos posted here, you can do so by
Clicking here. (126mb
File) The main PDF project password is needed to open the file.
(Remember these photos are not to be used for publications/profit
without the MDBCA or owner permissions.
The forums program on our site is different
from the Scouts forums, so transferring this area may not be possible.
Rest assured that we will do our best to try to bring all memories from
this site to the Scouts area. Possibly in a designated alumni area. Stay
tuned!!!
So get em' while they're
still available here!
Madison All-Stars to
Perform at Rockin' For A Cure ALS Benefit

Excitement has been
building around the news that members of the Madison Scouts Alumni are
forming a large ensemble to perform at the 7th Annual Rockin' for a Cure
Benefit for ALS, on April 28th, 2007. Rockin' for a Cure was founded in
2000 by former Madison Scouts drummer and instructor, Steve Weekes. The
deadly disease, ALS, which is also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, took
the life of Steve Weekes in 2005. With the help of the Madison Scouts
Alumni and others, the benefit has raised over $10,000 in the last 6
years.
The "Madison All-Stars
Band" is being organized by Rockin' for a Cure Director, Mike Anello,
with the help of Taras Nahirniak. The band will perform songs in the
style of Chicago, Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, Blood Sweat and
Tears, and other high-energy groups. Members of the band include Taras
Nahirniak, Barry Oosterwaal, Don Navis, Jon Shipper, Steve Jaeckel, and
others. Madison Scouts Alumni will be joined by alumni of Wall of Sound
to round out the group. If you are interested in joining the band for
this one-night-only performance, please contact Mike Anello at
414-483-1510 or email
michael@madisonscout-volunteers.org.
In addition, we are
looking for items for the Silent Auction. If your business can donate a
Silent Auction item for the ALS Benefit, please contact Mike Anello.
Thanks.

Initially, Guys wishing to
continue playing with a purpose of performing and
helping to keep the Scouts thriving in our community are

Initially we are starting small, with a goal of
establishing multiple performances in a variety of

Hey, does anyone like the humor of Sean
Morey? He is the internationally famous comedian who created and sang
the song "It's All About Me" which we've used on informal inside
projects. He appears regularly on Bob & Tom's Radio show, and had done
Carson (yes Carson) too! Sean Morey gave us permission to use that song in our
project DVD/CD set in the closing credits, so I wanted to extend out thanks to his generosity by promoting
his comedy tour stop here in
Madison at the Comedy Club on State next March 29-31. (Adults only)
Hope those of you near Madison can
make an evening of it!
