Any performing member that has not paid their $50 Alumni Dues payment to the MDBCA must have this payment in to the Corps office as soon as possible.

If you haven't paid by now, we will sending a rep around the rehearsal weekend to get this requirement out of the way... Also, if you are unsure whether you have paid this or not, please call Barb at the Scouts office 608-837-0707 where she can assist you in verification.

The MDBCA Thanks everyone!

Who am I? And why am I here? (The littlest Guy)

Note: there is nothing for the effort, but on your death bed, you will receive total consciousness... So, you'll have that going for you... which is nice!

Project Policy Regarding Rehearsals

The five camps (February, April, June, July, & Aug) are the only mandatory rehearsals in the project. Individuals and sections may call others for individual work and sectional work, but please be understanding of others schedules and needs. Individual rehearsal at home is expected of everyone.

***ATTENTION!
DRILL DOWNLOAD NOW AVAILABLE!!!
One of the most exciting challenges to be met at the upcoming camp (April 29-30) is to teach and learn most of (if not all of), the visual portion of our show. A great deal of thought, brainstorming, editing and coordination have gone into developing what we feel is an excellent vehicle for presenting our musical ensemble and the color guard. Because we had planned on having very little time to teach and perfect our project, we designed the show to be exciting and interesting without an undue amount of difficulty. The design blends current and old school drill concepts into a package that supports our strong musical and color guard books and is effective visually as well.

The materials for the visual portion of the show are now ready to be downloaded!! Please click on each of the following .pdf files to download, save and print. Next, bring them with you to April camp. (If you are unable to print the documents, we will have a very limited number of copies available at camp.)

  1. Drill charts (1.5mb)
  2. Drill symbols and numbers (76k)

A few comments:

Everyone: Please take a few minutes to learn your symbol and number, and follow yourself through the drill. It would be helpful to highlight or circle yourself. We don't expect anyone to be able to march their drill perfectly the first day. But the more familiar everyone is with the basic ideas in the visual program, the more efficiently we'll be able to rehearse.

Everyone: You'll notice some pages are missing. Not to worry, we removed a few subsets which were not necessary to have charted. This also keeps down the size of the .pdf file for faster downloading.

Brass players: Unless specified otherwise, horn/upper body facings are 10°-box.

As you were MEN!!!
